Downloaded :-WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe Yes have the original XP cd. Yes PC 32bit. What exactly do you mean by this :-"You need to make a new fresh CD copy to use again nLite" What do I look for in FAQs? God this is taking too much of yours & miy time. Be better I install xp on a spare HD.

I renamed to XP3.exe but still is not valid 32bit. Do you mean I burn the directory I386 in a CD?

I tried to integrade it in the XP' source location but it says, like it said before a couple of times:- "....The specified executable is not a valid Win32 application...."

Does this "...set the downloaded "WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe" file inside...." mean copy it in, which I did but how to get nLite to integrate the SP3 inside the source location, where /what is that?

Sorry myselfidem, was just trying to tell you that I would be answering later. Now am back on the PC. That "WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe" is not an ISO file, that is why was refused by nLite before. VM needs ISO too. My XP original is 020513_2211 (D) & put its contents in a directory. I was using 1.4.9 but now downloaded nLite 1.4.9.1. There is no $oem$ home or pro CD.

How do I delete it? Bought it in PC Fair hre in UK, & I registered it successfull before with MS. Found in my Diary the Home CD :- 020513_2211

I have that SP£ in my downloads but, it was not accepted as it was not 32bit. I did not put or remove any drivers, info saId somewhere not to bother. Can not scan it as I can not find where I hidden all my originals,probably in the oft? & am using a Backup. I tried nlite on both hoe & pro. Could not slipstream sp3, no download found as it seems to be only for direct install in an OS Don't know about the CD , have used it for years many times on my various PCs. Did not use Preset at all. Infos said . ".....7. Click “Next” to Preset window. In the first run, you don’t have any preset ini files. It will show empty here. Click Next....." but, i did remove all Langs somewhere. I have XPhome. I do not know what Jaclap wants or is he b.... sarcastic

For x years have been trying 5-6 times to make an nlite XP CD with no success. Yesterday tried on a RW DVD which failed again. Always followed info on the net. The resulting .ISO is 263MB & the files on the disk are in screenshot. NB. the sixth file in shot is "WINIIC.SP2" PS. When I try to boot from the CD burned with ImgBurn I get t SOBD.

For the last 10-15 years tried 5-6 times to make an nlite cd of my XPhome PC without success. Today was the same using RW DVD, could this be the reason? Always followed info from the net, even a video. has any body succeded?

Well they were on phisical, but left them both " I ", so changed one to " J " which shows on explorer but is not recognised again. 1. the top DVD is "E" in explorer & will not read DVDs, only CDs 2. the bottom CDR-W "D" "----" & reads CDR-W Noticed also I could change drive letters from the small icon in taskbar.

Hi all, thank you very much for bearing with me. With your help I now run a VMachine HD. Installed nLite streamlined XP & fs9 works too, although the VMware grfx is rather limited. I dragged in the nvidia "91.47_forceware_winxp2k_international_whql.exedrivers" from the real HD but after the install it says "...it cannot locate any drivers compatible with current hardware...." Is it possible to put in better drivers? B.Band connects too. I tried to add my second CDRom viaVM > Settings > Add but ,although it shows in exporer, will not see the cd / dvd inserted? Also the cursor seems cabable to work in or out of VM windows without pressing Ctr-Alt, is it normal? thanx nick

Thanx for the "auto restart", it said the usual that if it happens again see the admin chap....... I am at a loss on what causes it, in normal use the PC is OK, maybe the fs9's load kicks it out. And fs9 was reinstalled after the total failure recovery.

Sorry, have no manual nor CD all I have is the workshio download for trial 32 days, and trying to see if I can hack it &/or usefull tome before I buy it. Parhaps the frial does not allow tools download etc. My apologies if I mislead you. Will try the MS one for practice first.

Was multiplaying last night, with 5-10 others & chat & fsNav windows on the screen, while vigorously manouvring, from high & short to get on the approach, the PC shutdown with ScreenOfBlueDeath then proceeded to restart. It happened last week as well when I rejoined & again with same result. I suffered a few weeks ago catastrophic failure, see Quote below, and managed with XP repair to get all back, whilst others said the same thing caused them to reformat etc. Maybe my recovery was not complete? Any help to avoid reformating will be appreciated. CNTD... installed xp in VDisk but do not see the IE icon. Clicked install tools again, but nothing happens as before, how long does it take to install?

Well for goodnes's sake, now I see .....BUT...... this is what comes up now, WHY? Waite a minute, something made me right click the left top icon and bingo, saw the "hide controls". Somehow I must have changed it @~$%£&**!! I opened VMworkstation, clicked it (at the bottom says you do not have tools installed) & asked to power it to get install UNgrayed, but in black screen it said "no bootable disk found", clicked "install tools" and for a long time now nothing happens. What exactly do these tools do?. Will they allow me to install drivers etc in my VDisk XP, as I have not been able to do so before. O Dear, sorry, VM VM VM VM, I wish I could upload a view of my opened VM Workstation and also the one when I click on "start this virtual machine", NONE has prog toolbar to get "VM > Install VMWare Tools". What & where would the main prog be I wonder?
