  1. Your method did work out for my laptop battery installer problem...I didn't have to rename the file though. Thanks for the advice...very easy fix to days worth of trouble!
  2. I tried to fix the problem by reflashing the System Bios using my jump drive as a boot device and forcing the Bios to update, but this did not fix the problem. Anyone have an idea is to what I can do to fix this annoying problem? Here is a screen shot of what it shows on the desktop immediately after start up. Thanks in Advance, Brian
  3. I'm not using Nlite so how would I get this problem solved on my laptop? It showed up after I installed a fresh copy of Windows Xp Pro.
  4. I was working on my registery trying to speed up my PC when I ran accross this tweak found on the tweaking section of this website. I cant find this in my registry...Any ideas why its not there or what I can do to get it..Thanks in advance.... Diskcache plays a very important role in WinXP. However, the default I/O pagefile setting of XP is conservative, which limits the performance. Some better values for different RAM are given below. 1. Run "regedit"; 2. Goto [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\IoPageLockLimit]; 3. Modify the value in Hex depending on the size of your RAM: RAM: modified value(Hex) 64M: 1000; 128M: 4000; 256M: 10000; 512M or more: 40000. 4. Reboot Everything else is there in the Memory Management folder except IoPageLockLimit..Any Ideas?
  5. Hey Just thought I would introduce myself to everyone!
