  1. Thanx for the reply

Check your IE Security settings -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then

Internet Options, then Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check

for server certificate revocation" is unchecked.

    Restart MSN

    omg omg omg omg x100

lol, it works!!, passed Key Ports as well!!

Appreciate for the helps guys :thumbup

  2. Clean MSN, no crack no MSN Plus!

same error happens with 2009 build.14.0.8117.416 as well.

Restart Router/Modem, done many times since it's been weeks it happent suddently

    Windows Firewall disabled, always

no proxy in both IE8 and MSN

    removed anti-virus program

tried both wire and wireless internets

    DMZ mode, On

    softpub.dll, Registered

    System time, Sync'd and Corrected

uninstall Windows Live Communications Platform+MSN, reboot, reinstall MSN

Control Panel->Programs and Features->Windows Live Communications Platform+MSN, Repair

MSN->Tools->Options->Connection->TroubleShooter, Key Ports failed, said I have improper proxy/firewall settings and repair is not helping.

This happens on our two Windows 7 64bit, but our WinXP SP2 works great, can log into any account perfectly and of course it's using the same router/modem as other two

Please do not tell me to install 2011, I want to stay way from this 155MB as long as possible...

    Thank you in advance.

  3. Passware EFS Key

Since both my bro and friend forgot to save the EFS key when formating windows, their encrypted files are not unable to open.

So I found this program from Passware, EFS Key.

Just wondering if anyone ever tried this program before? How long does it take to De-Encrypt an EFS file?

Cause currently I'm using VMware so I can have multi-windows without touching my main windows

and this program has been decrypting a TXT file for hours= =

We are all using XP Pro SP2.

    Thank you :D

  4. Maybe mplayer2.exe usually found in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\ ? I was fooled by 123... thing, but they apparently both have that graphic.

What I said about the frame (paper with corner folded) still applies, it may have took over the association in a less than usual way. Or may not... I think I remember that MPC takes over the file association, but leaves the icon...

What are you trying to do?

    GL

I'm just trying to assign my video file with this icon.

Usualy when I try to open a video file with MPC, it'll assign this icon on it automatically, but some doesn't, so I'm trying to assign them manually.

music & movie icon comes from quartz.dll, and CD icon comes from shell32.dll.
Unfortunately, they don't give this icon.
Looks like K-Lite codecs to me.
    K-Lite-Codec-Pack-207031.gif K-Lite icon
I already tried that icon and they are not the same
I believe that this icon doesn't exist.

When you assign a file type to open with a certain program manually (aka you say "open with" and then choose the "always open with this program" option), it automatically generates an icon by taking the paper part and putting the program icon in the middle.

    I hope that's not true:( :(
mplay32.exe Ultra basic media player buiilt into XP. Found in system32 folder. Actually works. (semi-sorta-kinda-almost-maybe)
Just tried, this give the same icons as another mplayer32
  5. I recently got a SWF video and would like to convert it into FLV so I can upload them to Youtube/Google,

but I can't find any program that can do this.

    Can someone suggest one?

    Thank you.

PS. I have been trying to SWF - AVI/MPG, used many softwares and they are either doesn't work for me or have sponsor on the converted video, that's why I want to convert it to FLV, simple and fast.

  6. A program like this, As Fast As Possible Audio DSP

As Fast As Possible Audio DSP

A Realtime Audio effects program, that is, apply the effects in realtime on mic input, audio in cd or midi.

Sadly, this doesn't work on either Ventrilo or WXP build-in record program.

I have a friend that can change his voice to a robot or a kid when he's talking on Vent and I'm curious how to do it, but he doesn't want to tell me which program he used

    Thank you.

PS...I'm not sure if this kind of topic goes to here, if not, I'm sorry about it :blushing:

  7. Can someone tell me how to do this for SP2?

    I just got this SP2 version "Microsoft.Office.2003.Pro.SP2.English.AIO.5.in.1.DVD.v3-MANiacs.iSO"

    4. Copy XML files located at X:\office2003\FILES\SETUP to X:\office2003\sort. Now edit X:\office2003\sort\tabledirs.lst and X:\office2003\sort\xmlfiles.lst to match your need. tabledirs.lst lists all directories containing the exported tables from the msi packages (existence is checked in sort2cabs.js) and xmlfiles.lst lists all xml to edit (correct md5sums).
I extract the ISO and I didn't see any XML files in \FILES\SETUP\, there's only 1 file and it's SETUP.INI
    5. Open a command line (cmd) and change path to X:\office2003\sort. Start sort2cabs using folling syntax:CODEcscript sort2cabs.js

for successful completion md5sum.exe and makecab.exe should be placed in a directory listed in the path variable! ok, time for a cup of coffee

    I'm using WinXP SP2, I put "makecab.exe" and "md5sum.exe" in C:\Windows\System32, but I got an error after runing sort2cabs.js

I successfully slipstreamed SP2 following marek722's tutorial but I still cannot install the two subsequent updates KB907417 and KB905648 either manually or from Office Update. Is anyone else able to install these?

Update: Ok, this has something to do with I'm installing Office 2003 on Windows Server 2003. I ran the same Office install on a vmware XPSP2 and had no problems installing all office updates. Just by quick inspection, I noticed in XP the service "Office Source Engine" is manual but started before doing the update from Office Update. With Server 2003 the service wasn't started but the updates still failed even after starting the service.

I was going to see if I could use Server as my workstation, but it seems not feasible for me because of this and a couple other minor issues. Anyway it was worth a try, back to XP...

jimanny, can you tell me how did you slipstream SP2?

I got some problems after Step4.

    Thank you.
