    Just wondering if anyone had tried removing all networking components and using a simpler application that may be more secure, smaller, and better suited to a user who's only requirements are DSL through a NIC. I'm still just learning this stuff. thanks, jim

    I acccidently put this in the wrong forum at first. I was thinking it might be possible to replace win networking with some kind of stand-alone application for users who want just basic internet connectivity. Any ideas? Thanks
