  1. When a new hotfix is released by MS is it just a matter of downloading it to the Slipstrm\Hotfixes\ folder then running the Hotfix_enu.exe prog to create another slipstreamed disk or are there other actions necessary, or does an updated list of hotfixes need to be downloaded?
  2. Thank you all, both methods worked admirably. Yes, I used them both.
  3. Windows XP Home SP.2 fully updated. I have a folder containing 150+ subfolders. I want to copy all the files in all subfolders to another folder without copying the folder structure. Can this be done without individually opening each subfolder and copying the content? Thanks
  4. Below is an extract from http://www.theeldergeek.com/recovery_console.htm "Recovery Console Password On many XP installations you can't start the Recovery Console because it won't recognize your password. This registry edit causes the Recovery Console not to ask for a password. This works for both XP Home and XP Professional. Start | Run | Regedit Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Setup\RecoveryConsole Set the DWORD SecurityLevel value to 1 Exit Registry and Reboot" Good luck
  5. A friend want to register with MSFN but can't work out what to enter in the "Spam Bot Control" dialog box and I can't remember (if I ever knew). Would someone please advise on the format of this entry and maybe show a couple of examples. Thanks

  7. Thank you both for your interest, editing command.com worked without any problem. Can you advise about somehow being able to cripple the copy/paste function in 98se? Thanks.
  8. I would like to remove the Copy command from the Interpreter, is this possible, if so how? Is an Exe called by the Interpreter when the Copy command is issued, if so which one? Thank you.
