does anyone know which services windows xp truely needs to run? since i know disabling some with stop windows xp working all together i'd like to disable all services that arent needed except crutial to the operating of windows for my arcade cabinet

i installed it again and ran it windows eventually booted up but then ran incredibley slowly afterwords then came to a complete halt

thanks tho i need to be able to acess in windows as normal drives like that Paragon Mount Everything tho the demo verison doesn't seem to work with large partitions my two 90gb+ partitions are unacessable which are the ones i need to access

does anyone know any good software to add NTFS support to windows 98? i found a couple of program but one didnt work and the other wouldnt download

i have managed to get around the disk label problem all one needs to do to fix that is to hex edit the dossetup.ini however then the problem is the floppy disc emulation of CDs the maximum size is 2.88 and that can only fit the first 2 and maybe some extra files form disk 3 but not all teh files and so not everytihng needed to set it up can be installed ive also tried uncompressing the setup.exe and hex editing it to load files form a nother drive and such however that never worked so the setup method from the Official CD Release is what i need

i know how to do it manually or auto install it in different ways would just like the ability to install from the official setup, thanks tho plus dont have any acess to any MSDN disks

plus does anyone know if the txt files such as WSEFiles.txt need to be updated in order for a win9x update to work?

i am wanting to update it to have all the latest patches and such and the win9x stuff looks simple enough to edit however i cant figure out what to edit for Windows XP so i can put in SP2 and DirectX 9c, anyone know how i can achive this?

i'm creating an OS CD that will alow me to install MS-DOS 6.22 MS-DOS 7.10 Win 95 OSR 1 & 2 Windows 98 SE Windows ME and all their updates but when it comes to MS-DOS 6.22 the origonal Setup.exe didnt allow installing form a CD or Hard Disk since it checked the Labels for a match i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a Hex Edited version of the setup.exe that would allow installation or knew where i could get the Setup.exe from the MS-DOS 6.22/Windows 3.11 OEM Combo CD-Rom which would allow me ot install form a CD

i am running the Setup Manager form teh deploy pack and was wondering under Browser and Shell Settings in browser settings what search page is reffering to is it the search companion url? or is it refering to the bit where oyucan choose gogl and it will use google to search within internet explorer? or is it something else?
