i guess its more coz of RAM, check if ur motherboard support the RAM u have.
and most of the times restart of the machine will help resolvng the issue

Hello all,
i have one simple & basic query.
I have win xp professional (SP1) installed on my comp. Now my friend got me another version of XP-pro with SP2.
can i upgrade my version to the other one?
i dont want to lose any data or mess up my partition

well, i tried downloading the installable twice, but everytime i get the same error.

my Win XP SP2 installation is not going through
it says "checking inventory" and then it checks the product code id & then throws up "internal error" "SP2 installation cant proceed"
someone please help me
I dont think its the problem with WGA as other updates happen without a problem.

i agree, its tough to slim down Vista, but not impossible. It never asked me what features i want when i actually started installing. Moreover it cant upgrade my XP as it was FAT32 format

I have one basic query. In the vista site i can see that min HDD free space=15GB.
does it mean I should have 15gb free space in the partition where i will be installing vista>????

Hi,
I have installed win98SE on C drive & winXPpro on E drive. Now i want to keep only XP. How can I remove win98?
PS: I dont wish to format the C drive until n unless its absolutely essential
