  1. wtf... it's my friggin' Linksys network manager, it goes up by 8k every few seconds...
  2. This happened a lot more when I had "fast user switching" enabled, but now it's happening again. If I leave my machine turned on and running for a few days like I normally do, after a while, the page file will get up to like 700 megs (right now after a reboot it's around 300 megs, it used to be smaller though...), and the system will just absolutely crawl, and the hard drive is churning like no other. Is there a fix for this, besides "just reboot"? It's ridiculously annoying, and sometimes I'm working on a project for a few days at a time, and don't want to shut it down and restart it, re-open all my programs, etc...
  3. WGA has caused some serious issues... I've got XP Corporate running on my PC, and it's a perfectly valid key (I even did the whole "phone microsoft, inactivate XP, and change the key" thing and it still comes back saying it's an invalid key. Is it possible that there are countless valid XP Corporate keys, but only a certain number of them (stored in a database on a Microsoft server somewhere maybe) that they will accept?
  4. This PC has a corporate key on it, and I'm 99% sure it's a XP Pro corporate disc, but I'd have to go and check again.
  5. I've changed my license key to the valid key I received, but when I try to Validate my copy at microsoft.com, it says it's invalid. When I go to run GenuineCheck.exe, it returns the same value than it did before I changed the license key. Does windows store this value somewhere on the PC? And shouldn't it automatically clear the cached value when you update the license key? I've deleted the LegitCheckControl.dll that was on there, and also did a serch for anything called WGA on the PC and deleted or renamed it, and it's still giving the same value.
