  1. are you syspreping an image with Novell Client installed? If so, do you have NICI or NMAS installed? Try removing these before syspreping. Here's the TID 10091539 I believe that line 18 should read "DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore" instead of "DPigningPolicy=Ignore"
  2. works like a champ. is there a parameter that I'm missing to set the "Full Name" for the user? Not a big deal, just curious. Also, for the entry in CMDLINES.TXT. It appears that if I use /SkipSettings it actually skips the user portion of the INI file. However, if I look at the command line parameters (wihu.exe /?) it tells me that it simply "skips changing the settings". Would I be better off using /AutoInstall=0 instead of skipsettings? smood1

    format dialog ..

try adding this to your ini description.0 = Format D: Partition command.0 = cmd /c "echo Y | format D: /fs:ntfs /V:Data /Q" selected.0 = 1 the users settings don't take effect (i believe) until the user first logs in, so if you do the above command you shouldn't have a problem.
  4. nevermind. i'll just set the admin account to login once in Winnt.sif and move the whole thing to a RunOnceEx. Thx
  5. CMDLINES.TXT entry [Commands] "wihu.exe /SkipRestart /INI=install.ini" install.ini ... [Users] default=0 ;Administrator account user.0=Administrator ;status.0=0x002 password.0=123456 User.1=LocalUser Group.1=1 Status.1=0x10028 Comment.1=Account created by Me Personal.1=D:\Userdata ... Would it be easier/more effective to remove the user info from install.ini and place it into a user.ini and then rerun wihu.exe with a RunOnceEx entry?
  6. Getting an error message from WIHU when I'm attempting to change profile locations during T-12. Error reads: Error 2: localuser 's profile settings can't be changed. (Profile: C:\Documents....) I have the default user set in the ini, but it appears that it defaults to the SYSTEM account. Is this why? Any ideas?
  7. Is it feasible to add a command-line switch for the creation of the user settings. It appears that not all of the setting possibilities are documented. As a for instance, the Full name (not the username) of the user created. Overall I think this would help decrease the amount of time admins have for the user create process and possible syntax errors. thx
