    Last Session.ini

Huhi, I finally got it to work. When I was using the program I would open a single "task box", make the changes and then close it. I would go through the "task boxes" one by on working the same way. When I was finished I would open the "create ISO" task box and create the ISO; I never did get the menu asking yes/no if I wanted to process the changes. I now open the necessary "task boxes" including the "make ISO" task box, make the necessary changes without closing them down and when I have made all of the changes I get the window asking if I want to process the changes. I click "yes" and then get the "create ISO" window which makes the ISO. I now get a "Last Session.ini". I finally have it working properly. Now to learn how to use it; this seems like it will be simpler than what I have gone through so far! By the way, all of my folders are marked "read only" and doesn't effect the creation of the "Last Session.ini". Thanks so much for the help, Eeyore

    Last Session.ini

Nuhi, I have re-installed both versions of nLite many times; 1.0Final and 1.0.1. I have also modified my WXP to add nVidia drivers, delete some portions of WXP I don't use and such; then I save the results to create an ISO file for burning. I have done this many times (~40-50) but I cannot get a "Last Session.ini" file. It is not within the ISO file and it is not in the "Presets" directory within my nLite directory. From what I have read in my research is that the "Last Session.ini" file should be created automatically when I create the ISO file. It is not being created. I did find the "Preset" button on each menu page that will let me manually create an .ini file with a name that I select but that is something different. NLite just won't automatically create the "Last Session.ini" when I create the ISO. Again, I am assuming that the "Last Session.ini" should be created automatically as I have read in my research. I am wondering if there is somewhere I need to go to setup this function or should it be automatically created? Eeyore

    Last Session.ini

I believe I finally found out how to get the "Last Session.ini". Each page/menu has a "Preset" button at the bottom and the settings have to be manually saved to a named file; I had assumed from my reading that the settings that were modified in nLite were automatically saved. I saved one of the page/menus using the "Preset" button and when I went back to the Preset page I could see and load it. I also found the INI in my nLite \Presets\ directory. I'll have to play with it and see if this is truly the way that it works. It still seems like there should be a way for nLite to automatically save the file since the file is referred to as "Last Session" in the guides and by the people using this forum. But when I save the preset it has to be named and I can name it whatever I want. Thanks all for the help, Richard

    Last Session.ini

Sorry, but when I click on the link you gave I just get an error message and the JPG doesn't open; I am asked for a referrer or some such. Where in nLite is it located? The only place I find anything referring to Last Session is in the Preset menu where there is a check box to enable the loading of the Last Session. I have checked and unchecked the box and the Last Session does not show up. Is there an "Options" menu somewhere or is this something that is setup when installing nLite? Thanks for the reply bottled leaf, Eeyore

    Last Session.ini

T D: I didn't delete it. If I had during the creation of the first ISO I certainly didn't on the many additional ISOs that I created trying to get a "Last Session.ini". One just isn't being created. Also, I am a geezer and many years ago I dated a young woman that had a little girl that loved Winnie the Pooh; she loved watching the Pooh tapes. Because of my personality they gave me the nickname and it has stuck. Ponch : I have looked into the ISO using UltraEdit and the Last Session.ini is not there. I also looked (I didn't know it was supposed to be there also) in the \Presets\ directory but it is blank. By the way, I don't have the full Framwork installed just the "Lite" version provided on the nLite site. I also replaced the provided mscorwks.dll with another since the Framework "Lite" version won't work without the change. Could that be the problem? I hope not since I don't want to install the full Framework 2.0; I found that it really slows down my computer (AMD 3800+ x2). I hope that others have had the problem and can help. Maybe there is some setting change that needs to be made? Thanks again, Eeyore

    Last Session.ini

I have just created my first nLite ISO but realized I didn't add my video driver. I don't want to go through the whole process again but I read that it is possible to load the last session.ini and make the addition to the previous ISO. My problem is that I can't find the .ini file within the ISO and when I am in the Preset menu it doesn't show anything either. Has anyone had this problem or is it just me? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Eeyore
