  1. during windows setup
  2. hi, recently, I have put kb888111 into HF folder so make sure my windows installation will support HD audio. I formatted my harddisk and install the lastest hfslipped windows with kb888111 however, it asked for my the hdaudus.sy_ and hdaudbus.in_ I have to select those 2 files from the I386 folder to make sure the installation can finish. I thought my kb888111 has been borken or something, so, I tried a different kb888111. The same problem happened again, would anyone kindly help me to solve the problem? thanks a lot attached 2 hflsip for analysis, thanks 1.zip hfslip.zip
  3. thanks tomcat, i will just put everything in the hf folder
  4. a little upgrade of the list? I was using this list to compile a iso to install a windows on my machine. after the installation, I did a windows update. It asked me to update the following: 892130 936181 933579 938828 937143 927891 931836 924496 and I found it is not included on this list, and these updates are high priority from the Microsoft update site. Do u think this list need to do a little upgrade? I have attached a list of HF I used to build that windows. Cheers hfslip.zip
  5. you guy are really helpful and smart
  6. problem fixed It's my winnt.sif caused the "internal installation data structure has been damaged." Thanks everyone
  7. The ntfs and Traditional problems have been fixed by using the lastest hfslip. However, I've got a new problem. After the text installation screen, the machine reboots, then it enters the GUI installation screen. It shows a light blue screen for a while as usual, then the GUI installation screen start. Then it pop up an error says "internal installation data structure has been damaged." (which I translate it from chinese from its meaning). I tried to hfslip it again, still the same problem hsflip.log attached. Thanks HFSLIP.zip
  8. If you read the_guy's post above, as well as the directions on Tomcat's page, KB900325 is for XP Media Center Edition. You do not need it for your OS! If you want to include the Windows Media Player 9/10 codecs, you need to extract wmfdist95.exe out of the KB900325 hotfix. Now, please don't come back here until you sort out your hotfixes (as above). HFSLIP is not for people who don't read simple directions. I am trying to slipstreaming my source to xp sp2, then, I should check the "Service Pack 2" box rather than "Service Pack 1a", right? I have removed KB900325 from my HF folder, I still got the same error. Removed the media center and I replaced the msxml2sp6 to msxml4sp2-kb887606-x86-cht.exe. Still got the same error. When I click the MSXML 4.0 SP2 Other languages (msxml.msi) + latest binary update in the same language box, it shows me msxml.msi and msxml4sp2-kb887606-x86-enu.exe I am runing HFSLIP in a Traditional Chinese windows 2000 machine with an account with Admin privileges. The HFSLIP didn't warn me about my source is not clean and cannot slipstream Windows Update Agent. Here is the string you are looking for - Localization=Traditional Chinese By the way, the source is already slipstream to sp2 before I ran hfslip. However, I put the WindowsXP-KB916281-x86-CHT.exe in my HF folder because I've got a error just after entering the gui installation screen(something says root structure damaged). So I want to use hfslip slimstream the sp2 again to see if it fix the error.
  9. I was using the update list in http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_winxp.html and I checked the list with my hf folder a few times already, everything is the same except I cannot get WindowsXP-KB896344-v2-x86-ENU.exe optional update. (It doesn't have a CHT version yet.) The wu.txt is from a 2k system because I am running the hfslip in a 2k system. (I dont have a xp system.) 900325 doesn't have a CHT version so I get the Eng version. I also tried to remove it from my hf folder, the same problem still occure. As I stated, the list I got included 916281 update. However, I tried to get the IE6.0sp1-KB916281-Windows-2000-XP-x86-CHT.exe hotfix instead of the 916281 update, everything is the same. Thanks everyone
  10. Hi, I have hfslipped my windows xp. However, after a while I pressed the spacebar to boot from cd rom, I've got the following error message. The ntfs.sys is corrupted. Press any key to continue. I am quite sure my source ntfs.sys doesn't have any problem since I am able to install from the source cd without any problem. I have also tried other source cd to hfslipped, but I still get the same error. Anyone have any idea? Is it caused by i hfslipped it in a windows 2000 machine? Thanks P.S. HFSLIP.LOG and WU.TXT attached. error.zip
