Environment - have a laptop that I use at work, connected to a domain, windows xp pro on client, servers are windows server 2003 and active directory - take laptop home, log in using a cached profile of a domain user account (same username and password I use at work) - use a Cisco VPN client to gain access to the network at work - map network drives to 2 data storage servers Issue - open up any Microsoft Office 2003 application - go to File - Save As - hit the drop down arrow to choose my save location - application freezes while trying to populate that list for up to 10 minutes but eventually comes back and shows me the list - each folder I try to go to on one of my mapped network drives will cause the application to freeze up again for an extended period of time Any thoughts on this? Funny thing is while I'm in My Computer browsing through the network drives everything works fine, problem is just within Office 2003 applications. Tried already - repair install of wxp pro - windows updates including service packs installed - ibm laptop system updates installed *edit - didnt realize that the topic was truncated, should be "network drives", not "net"
