Hi i've searched around before i've asked and found to meny things so please dont flame me if this question seems stupid i have an xp machine and i want to run a registry script BEFORE any user logs on, i mean before the logon screen can this be done ? how ? thanks

im looking for software that can edit the windows xp registry in REAL MODE i mean DOS, not dos window but REAL DOS NOT WAREZ any one can recommend anything like that ? thank you.

i did detached the first drive. the problem is that i can not logon even in safe mode, windows just kipping logging off and back on till a message pops about user profiles .... im very frustrated.

Hi i have a hadrdrive with win2k3 installed and i want to do a drive copy to other HD. both HD's are NOT of the same brand. i tried every soft that i know : PartitionMagic 8.02 & 8.05 DriveCopy 4 DriveImage 7 Acronis ImageServer & Partition tools Symantec Ghost 2003 & Corporate Paragon Utilities YOU NAME IT so far i had no success whatever i do, the **** thing just dont copy right. i get an error when windows start from the 2'nd HD that windows cant find my user profiles and then it cycles logoff - logon infinitely im tring do do it 2 weeks and it is p***ing me any one have any idea for resolution ? thank you.

I see that there is a lot of interest in installing WMP 10 on Server 2003 so heres a full explanation : extract all the files from the WMP 10 install package and find these files CODECS10.INF DRM10.INF MPCD10.INF MPPRE10.INF MPSTUB10.INF WMDM10.INF WMFSDK10.INF WMP10.INF WMSET10.INF WPD10.INF WPDMTP.INF these files contain the line ClassGUID = {F5776D81-AE53-4935-8E84-B0B283D8BCEF} just put a semicolon in front of that line or delete it from each file. now, select all INF's except WMP10.INF ( there are 15 INF's ) , right click and choose INSTALL. when windows complains about protected files and bla bla bla, ignore it. select WMP10.INF , right click and choose INSTALL to finish the saga, run SETUP_WM.EXE and have fun. Sorry duds, i forgot somthing, stupid me Create new reg file and paste the following into it : Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\Installed Versions] "wmp.dll"=hex:00,00,0a,00,3e,0e,00,00 "wmploc.dll"=hex:00,00,0a,00,3e,0e,00,00 "wmplayer.exe"=hex:00,00,0a,00,3e,0e,00,00 run the file and thats really all to it. sorry again

any 1 knows why if i wont to reduce winxp size then some inf's i can remove safly from TXTSETUP.SIF and DOSNET.INF and some i have to replace with modified versions ? what controls the inf's ?

Hi there heres a question for u folks as long as i remember from the first win 1.0 to the latest win2003, there is a stupid behavior when u try to copy files and one file is bad. the copy operation quits and tells u "windows cannot copy bla bla bla ... " is there any fix for this behavior ? i mean, why windows quit and dont continue to copy all the good files and let me know at the end of the operation that this or that file had an error ?

Becuase i believe that there are few more files that windows can live without them and still function in 100%
