  1. The service pack states that it has a fix for the 512MB RAM limit in WIN98SE. I installed the most recent version of the service pack but the system manager still shows only 512MB of the 1GB memory installed. Any idea what to try next? I have 3 512MB RAM modules. Any one of the three will be recognized by WIN98SE but no combination of two will yield recognition of 1GB installed. BTW, before I had a HD crash which forced a complete wipe of the HD (Fdisk), the system recognized the 1GB after the service pack install. The service pack at that time was the SEP/Oct 2005 version, I think. As I hazily recall, the only thing I had to do to get it to recognize the 1GB initially was to do the Max Files fix. Thanks.
