  1. Aye it works this time in like 60mins . Dont I need to install any hotfixes before adding SP1? As when you install SP1 through windows update it requres loads of updates to be installed first. Also is there a list of hotfixes recommended to add to the installation?
  2. I'm trying to intergrate SP1 into my Vista X64 install but there seems to be a problem, maybe it is me just been inpatient but I dunno. When it starts it gets like half way, then it just stops there, even after 60mins, and my memory usage is at like 98% and cpu going abit crazy, this is on a pc with 4gb ram and an E6600 @ 3.4Ghz so should not be so slow. Does it need some pre SP1 files adding too? I just get the DVD Files on the HDD then the SP1 isntall and start it. Any ideas? Thanks Willz.
  3. Hi. I found out about this unnatended isntalation, and i thought it would be a good thing to have an unattended windows instalation that installs all my software and drivers. So far i have managed to intergrate Service Pack 2 into the cd and create a basic unattended setup so i dont have to select keyboard layout, and cd key etc... . I wanted to also have instalation install my Audio, Graphics and Lan, in the F:\XP PRO\$OEM$\$1\drivers i added the folder's 000_Audio, 001_Graphics, 002_Lan, i tryed to get the drivers from using the WINNT.SIF file, i used the guide here: Drivers Via WINNT.SIF. The part at the bottom in the box "OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\000_intel_INF;Drivers\001_gigabit_LAN;Drivers\002_monitor" DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore " i copied and edited it to match my drivers, i was unsure how to do it, tried a few times and it dident work, the last time i edited the line so it was like this which was just for the audio and graphicd : OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\000_Audio;WDM\001_Graphics;Driver;2KXP_INF" DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore, when windows installed, the drivers still were not installed, but if i went to, my computer, then the C: drive, i found a folder called drivers in there. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. After the above things, i wanted to intergrate some of my programs for install, these include, Windows Media Plyer 11, Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3, AOL 9.0 (if even possible), Lexmark z600 series drivers, Windows Live Messenger (MSN 8.0), Ad Aware SE, AVG Antivirus, Everest Ultimate Edition and more. The thing is, i still find it difficult and have read various guides but these silent switches still are confusing, i tried using N lite Add on maker, but the problem is, i dont know some of the silent switches, also, some of these programs dont have Inf files, or have Inf files in more than one folder and i dont know how to link to the other folders. In the guide here: MP 10 unnatended, it says to add some files to you batch file, what batch file?, also what is RunOnceEx? and were does the RunOnceEx script stuff go?
