heyal, off topic...kinda. is there a way to make win98se use usb mouse in safe mode? its enabled on motherboard but i have yet to see it work. i'd like the mouse and printer [usb] capabilities in safe mode, i know it wont work in dos lol. any help is greatly appreciated, sb

heyal, yes all is set and can hear sounds from games installed not part of windows ie: spider, winamp, windows media player all that you can hear but not when using the sounds from window control panel or sound volume control on task bar. not sure why but they are set as u said. thanks,sb

heyal, is there something i can do to figure out why my windows sounds and games won't play anything? i think it started when i tried to give media player associations and took them from winamp. [pretty sure this is why] anyway the speaker icon on taskbar gives no sound no does the events from control panel nor does say playing game spider in windows [i have win98]. now there is sound from winamp, media player and any 3rd party game or player. is there a way to reset it all or something to look for? thanks, sb
