thanks, i know its beta. if the upgrade doesn't work i'll just start from scratch again.

because they cant fit 7gig of options on a single screen?

I was on beta2 build of vista. But i was wondering now i've downloaded a later build, whether it would be recommended to install on another partition and just over my beta2. I just didn't want to lose my settings i'd done for vista.
