  1. AOL has officially released beta software for xp64bit,vista32 and 64bit versions. i can confirm that it works on vista x32. tested on vista x64 and the connectivity software will not work. so u may not be able to get on for a wile. all tests were conducted on vista beta 2 build 5384. i can also confirm now that aol 9.0 vr beta works on xp64bit. im useing it right now.
  2. im sorry but dileup isp's cannot use broadband routers. and thir are dileup routers out thir, but y in the hell would you use one. its already slow enugh as it is. ok ive done everything i can about this problem. aol has stated that thir will be no 64bit verson of thir software. and they will not start working on vista beta software till vista gets fully released. so im like WTF! well for this reason im looking in to getting another isp. and as soon as i find a good one that dont boot ya for idle time ill switch. i recomend anybody that uses aol to do the same.
  3. i finaly got a new 9.0cd lastnight. tryed installing it on vista 64bit to no avil program keeped stoping. same results on the 32bit verson of vista. i have yet to try it in xp64bit. but i realy dought it will. aol just needs to pull thir thumb outa thir rear.
  4. after hrs of playing around with acs ive come to the conclusion that the only way to get it to install is with aol installed. ill try getting an updated 9.0 se cd from aol and try it but i still dont think its gona work. i just dont se how 9.0 can be installed on xp 64bit
  5. i love the new inerface. networking is a real bite in the a**. the new screen savers are cool. visuals are nice, back grounds are sharp. the new pic viewer is good, pic's are displayed sharper, but i dont like the zoom controls. the default drivers for the Nvidia Geforce fx cards suck, hade to install my own to fix problems. sound support blows. and ive already got the dam blue screen lol. but thats windows for ya. this is what i think of the 32bit verson. have not been able to setup the 64bit verson
  6. ok now that ive found and downloaded the AOL ACS software(keep in mind ppl this is beta software) ill play around with it to se if i can find some way to get any verson of AOL to install and run on win xp 64bit and maby vista 32/64bit versons. every time i try to install AOL 9.0 se the auto installer tells me that it couldnt find a sutible verson to install. but i found that 9.0 optimised will install but ACS will not. i think ive tryed AOL 7.0-8.0 and 1 did install, but did not work properly. im not sure if u still have to sine up to download and test AOL's beta software or not anymore. but if u want to try to play with ACS, u must download it via the AOL software. i hade to install it to my xp 32bit verson 1st. then i did a search under start for ACS to find the folder. it does not show up in a dir. i looked for hrs and found nothing. have fun getting this POS software to work right. i always have problems with AOL.
