I've gotta scratch my head on that one.

I did it a long time ago in school, but I really forget how.

We had some tool that created a file, and from the dos prompt it was a command like d:\setup /l [path to answer file]

to the best my old memory can remember.

The tools are on the win95 cd to do it, but blasted if I have a win95 cd to browse looking for those tools

oh, and it isn't totally unattended either, you still had to manually enter the serial and a few other things

Win98 is much better if you gotta stay with the older OS

You have to have a retail CD, and find the unattend settings creator on it. Then it will make you a file called "MSBATCH.INF" which you just put nto the cabs folder (the Win95 installer folder) which has setup.exe.

Then, when you run setup from DOS, it gets automatically read and used for totally silent install.

If you have an OEM CD, it will stop at the "Registered To:" screens for input. And FYI, win95 unattended is the same as win98/ME.
