Located at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LUAFV

REG_DWORD “Startup” - The default is 2 but setting it to 4 disables it completely.

the key is actually called Start -not Startup but other than that, it appears to do exactly what it advertises. anyone else aware of any possible side effects that might expliain MS leaving it enabled?
