Evanhoe
Hi,I know how to use the "Quote" thing correctly, but although i've attempted to use "Quote+" a few times,I did'nt because, each time it appeared as a full "Quote" in the Preview Pane.Often times a Thread/Posting is fairly large, and like many of you that do it properly,I would like to just Quote a couple of lines or so! Can someone provide How to details on this? Thanks.
Kelsenellenelvian
Please post in the proper foum sections. I moved your 2 posts to where they should go as they have NOTHING to do with WinXP they are general forum questions.
Zxian
If you only want to quote a few lines from the original post, all you need to do is go back and remove the stuff between the "quote" tags. For example, by pressing the "quote" button, I get the following automatically inserted in my reply:[quote name='Kelsenellenelvian' date='Dec 29 2007, 05:00 AM' post='724392']Please post in the proper foum sections. I moved your 2 posts to where they should go as they have NOTHING to do with WinXP they are general forum questions.[/quote]All I do is edit the stuff between the "quote" tags to remove text, like so.[quote name='Kelsenellenelvian' date='Dec 29 2007, 05:00 AM' post='724392']Please post in the proper foum sections.[/quote]The above will show something like this:Please post in the proper foum sections. The quote+ buttons allow you to quote multiple posts, from any threads. You can click on the quote+ button on several posts, and then hit the "Add Reply" button at the top or bottom of the page. All of the posts that you've selected will now appear within quote tags.Hope this helps!

Hi Kel,I did'nt know they were'nt,but I know now.It would have been helpful if you had indicated, where you had plunked them!I wasted a fair amount of time finding them. Now,both Xian and Tain have given me solid info regarding, these little problems of mine.It may not appear so,but I try very hard to be as efficient as I can be,when Posting.Thanks. Evanhoe
Hi Zxian,Thanks for the detailed info you provided.Very helpful. Now,regarding your tip..."If you only want to quote a few lines from the original post, all you need to do is go back and remove the stuff between the "quote" tags.",I have been doing this all along, but I thought Code+ would simplify this! Now I know different.Your other tip"The quote+ buttons allow you to quote multiple posts, from any threads. You can click on the quote+ button on several posts, and then hit the "Add Reply" button at the top or bottom of the page. All of the posts that you've selected will now appear within quote tags",is going to be very useful in the future.Thank you very much for all your help.
