Varied Network Names

I understand that the unattended CD can add the computer to a network domain during the install process. This is a nice feature but my computers have a predicament. We've assigned computer numbers to each individual computer and those names are reflecting in their names on the domain. Is there a way to script an input box near the beginning of the install that allows me to input a variable that will be used when setting up on the network. Our network group policy installs software when computers join the network, i'm hoping to have this occur as a part of the unattended process.
