straytoasters Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Ok, I have seen articles where other people are having the same problem. RegShot will open but then stall/lock up when you do a shot-shot/save. Some people on the forums here seem to be having success with it, but its not working for me. What am I missing?Straytoasters

See I have a shared drive where I keep a bunch of tools (regshot being one of them), I usually run it from the network drive...that failed, I moved it to the local drive...that failed. I downloaded a new copy and run it (not installed, but ran from the unzipped file), and it worked fine. I am guessing (way purely guessing) that regshot doesent like junction points. Since (my old) regshot was preset to "doc and settings" and not appdata as Vista uses it just refused to use the junction point redirector. However starting regshot "from start" in Vista it seems to like the junction point re-direction. Anyhow it seems to work with all that in mind.Straytoasters
