I want to replace the default Windows Explorer with another program when I press the combine key Windows + E. Does anyone know the solution?

Thanks in advance.

You have to know that the Windows Messages System (every Windows system programmer knows what i mean) is used to catch system wide keys.

Beside of this that without finding out which Windows-wide VK_ Code this is and parsed by you are years in Regedit...

Any programmer here who have done desired by top poster for his filemanager application?

As i use SpeedCommander i am also interested in this feature.

Until yet i'd use ac'tivaid (Google translation from german, Blog of Tim Bormann) which enables me to change hotkeys and it has very lot more fine ablities for convienient using Windows via mouse and keyboard. It is created by Wolfgang Reszel as an project of german computer magazine c't. Project site of ac'tivaid with download. You can change the display language of ac'tivaid to english!

Thanks Chris but I really like an ultimate solution for this. Directory Opus can hack into our system but I don't know how they did it.

That might be done via hooking. A loaded DLL is brought into the system handles mouse and keybaord and gives back to the system. It can check every key or mouse move if programmed in...
