Distorted Sound after Hibernation in Vista 64

Hi All,

I´m new to this forum, I´ve posted on the Fujitsu Siemens forum as well to try and get an answer to my problem.

I´m running Vista ultimate X64, which works fantastic BTW, but when I put the notebook into hibernation and wake it up again the sound is completely distorted. The main factor why I don´t think it´s a hardware problem is because when I play a movie with cyberlink under XP it´s fine (no distortion). Vista I still have the distortion.

I had this problem with XP as well, but only recently for the last 3 or 4 months. After doing a complete fresh install of XP with the disks that came with the computer it was fine, but after it did all of the updates I was back to square one. I upgraded to Vista for a fresh OS to see if that might fix the problem but no go.

If I do a restart everything goes back to normal with sounds and music.

I´ve installed the Vista codecs pack for 32 and 64 bit, but no improvement.

Any suggestions are more than welcome
