ATi drivers

today my friend gave me his radeon x600 se which he took out of his dell pc to replace my radeon x300.

i remember a while ago i updated the drivers to my x300 and my keyboard and mouse would lock up in the middle of playing a game like CS. So i decided to use my previous drivers and everything was normal again.

My previous drivers didn't work for this x600se, so i downloaded the latest omega ATi drivers, and now im experiencing the same problem i had before.

How do i fix this?

This problem ONLY occurs when i have the latest drivers.

the Radeon x600se is specially made for Dell i think and so its kind of difficult for me to find the right drivers.

One of the users here started a webpage and keeps maintanance of Ati mobile drivers. Check them out at www.atimobility.net

You can also try this tool http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool/ to use the newest catalyst drivers usable for Mobility devices. (i'm not sure but i think atimobility.net uses that tool to prepare those drivers)

Ah crap :/ I misread it. Thought you meant laptops and that you can't use Ati Catalyst and have to use Dell drivers. So you're saying that newest Ati Catalyst don't work for you either? The offical ones?

well they do work, its just that when im gaming, my keyboard and mouse locks up sometimes... you know, when you press a button to move forward and you let it go, and your character is late to stop and keeps moving for an extra second.

i know this isnt my keyboard or mouse that is the problem because it only occurs when i have the latest drivers.
