Very Odd!

I have a very odd problem! When I type an E-mail in outlook 2000 using £ sign it shows fine on my screen but when the mail is sent, or printed the £ changes to L. This is embarassing when trying to sell in sterling not lire or something else equaly valueless!!!

The machine runs XP Pro SP2 and Office 2000 pro. All updates are installed up to date
