Windows XP wallpaper not working

Hi,

I'm not sure why, but when a user on our domain logs onto a computer for the first time, their wallpaper does not display correctly. Maybe the top 5% of the wallpaper shows at the top of the screen, but the rest is black. It is fixed after pressing F5, so it is not a major issue. However I will be deploying a new SOE in a few days and this is going to make me look bad! :thumbup

Is there a reason why this is happening. I have set the wallpaper on the default user profile, however I think that it is also being pushed out by group policy. Can someone save me? :blushing:

Are you using a .jpg, or a .bmp to set the wallpaper? Also, is the file local or stored on a remote UNC path? This generally only works 100% of the time when you use a .bmp file for the wallpaper, and it's local. Any other combination results in this kind of behavior.
