traxx Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 I am using an MSI StarForce GeForce4 MX440 w/ AGP8X, here's my problem...Windows XP doesn't detect it as being it....or anything else for that matter. It installs it as a Standard VGA Controller. Complete an unattended install and before it can get into Windows to process my batch file, I am confronted with a "Windows had to adjust your display settings" bla bla bla message and I'm at 800x600....completely overriding my 1280x1024 specification in Winnt.sif. I have tried the OemPnP....already.Thanks in advance.
Westi Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 1. Use only WHQL drivers, no beta or tweaked.2. Try to delete this entries in:DOSNET.INFd1,nv4.dlld1,nv4.infd1,nv4.sysDRVINDEX.INFd1,nv4_disp.dlld1,nv4_disp.infd1,nv4_mini.sysTXTSETUP.SIFnv4.dll = 1,,,,,,,,3,3nv4.inf = 1,,,,,,,20,0,0nv4.sys = 1,,,,,,,,3,33.Expand your drivers for example to :$OEM$\$1\Drivers\Nvidia4. Add this line to your winnt.sif[unattended]OemPreinstall=YesDriverSigningPolicy = IgnoreOemPnPDriversPath = Drivers\Nvidia5. Good luck
traxx Posted October 16, 2003 Author Posted October 16, 2003 EDITED: well spank my a** and call me charlie....stupid me and typos wrote PEM instead of OEM....don't worry, I'll be ok
