Document opens as though it's blank out prints ok

Hello,

I have been having alot of trouble recently with opening documents in Microsoft Word 2002.

When I open the document it looks as though it is a blank document (even though I know it’s not). If I press Print the document will print correctly but still won’t appear on screen.

It happens randomely and I can’t see any pattern appearing.

I have tried Detect & Repair but this hasn’t helped,

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?
