How to incorporate windows update via "Windows Update Downloader&

Hi, I'm trying to create a custom Windows XP SP1 Cd with this amazing tool. I hate sp2, so I want the Sp1, all the critical updates plus my own configurations... About the configs, that's ok, I made it, but about the hotfixes, I downloaded them via Windows Update Downloader and I got this bunch of executable files, then I included them in my CD with nlite. But, surprisingly, when I booted my newly installed windows, I went to control panel and saw no hotfixes installed. So, what must I do? Was it or not installed?I included the hotfixes excecutables at hotfixes screen in nlite; I even got some errors like "this update isn't for this version of windows during the iso creation and installation (cos I must have put some sp2 updates in the package), which should mean that the other updates were indeed installed, but I guess they are not working, since the hotfixes always shows up in control panel... Why? And how can I fix this? Do I have to extract them? Thanks in Advance.

First, why do you hate SP2?

Many of the SP2 specific things can be disabled if you don't like them.

SP1 is no longer supported by MS and you are strongly recommended to update to SP2.

SP2 specific hotfixes cannot be used with SP1.

When integrating updates with nLite you won't see them in the add/remove list, go to Windows update or use Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) to see which updates are installed.
