dkoum Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 HELLO TO THE FORUM i want to ask you about a memory little problem that i have i have 2gb ram ,but vista shows tha i have 2046 2mb ram missing !!!!does anyone know what happening ?
fizban2 Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 don't worry about the missing memory, could be the OS reporting it incorrectly or the ram is not the best, mine only shows 2038, usually with this small amountage it is something to do with the ram

fizban2 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 mm his issues isn't that he is over the 3 gig limit for user mode memory, his ram is just reading at hte full 2048 that it should, the Ram chips most likely are not regsitering the full amount of ram on them, happens with chips that aren't up to spec sometimes

war59312 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Yeah it's weird like that, system properties show 2046MB but task manager shows 2045MB.msinfo32 shows 2,045.88MB... So system properties rounds up and task manger drops the decimal digits...Microsoft has always been very bad at being consistent, one of the biggest complaints for Windows Vista during the beta..
