army20 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Is there any way to force windows to use the classic logon prompt without having to be in a domain ?-M
Idontwantspam Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Gpedit.msc > Click Continue to annoying UAC prompt > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies >Security OptionsFind "Interactive Logon: Hide last username". Set it to Enabled. Find "Interactive Logon: Do not require Ctrl-Alt-Del to Logon". Set to disabled. Log off. It's not the same as in earlier (read: better) versions of Windows NT, but it works. Ctrl-Alt-Del, then enter your username and password. (PS: Sorry for digging up an old topic , but a lot of people have asked me that in person lately, and I saw this, so I thought I'd resolve it.)
