XP (volume licenced) to Vista

Hi guys,

Is it possible to install from a Windows XP (Volume licensed (VLK)) to Vista Upgrade Ultimate without deactivating my XP-key.

I've heared that if you activate Vista that your XP-key will be deactivated and it is not possible to install XP with that key again.

Does somebody have more info about this?

VLK keys will always activate unless they have been blacklisted, though these should be only in a Coperate environment anyways,
