HD Audio Bus Driver wont install

Ok i bought a new toshiba laptop and its running fine , The preblem is i need to keep windows 2000 on it for some old apps we use in colege that wont run in xp . And naturly i want to listen to my mp3s and play solitare at the same time like any good student .

I ve tried to install the drivers for my realtek HD audio which works fine in vista because i need the bus driver . So ive had a look around and found an installshield version and a hotfix , none will run in windows 2000 so ive tried an alternitive my colege apps work in the old WinHEC 04 build of LH for some strange reason so i ran the hotfix installer in compatibility mode for xp and edited the .inf for a second it looked like everything was going fine but then the hotfix crashed giving cannot varify update.inf .

So im in an aqwad position if anyone can tell me how to disable the .inf protection on hotfix's that would be fine or how to install it on windows 2004
