greenpus Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 win2k-sp4 with NTFSoffice2003 sp2Network drive that win2k pc writes to is UNIX NFSdocuments are created through WORD and then printed out into a .mdi or.tiff file through Document Image Writer from Office2003. The .mdi or.tiff file is then saved to a Network UNIX(NFS)drive and it works. Theproblem that we are having is when someone opens the .mdi or .tiff filewith Document Image Writer and make any updates or highlight anythingetc, the document will not save the updates again on the UNIX (NFS) networkdrive. Its like you can write the document out to the UNIX drive oncebut after that you can't make any changes. I've tested this on a NTFSsystem and it works. Does anyone know why we can't update these .mdi or .tiff files on a NFSdrive? Permissions seem to be set up correctly on the UNIX drive
greenpus Posted March 14, 2007 Author Posted March 14, 2007 Did some more experimenting with this issue and found something interesting. The problem occurs on a Win2k PC but it works on a Server 2003 and an XP PC.
