WSUS client problem (logs included)

I have a closed LAN (no internet access) that i have setup WSUS on one of our DC boxes (i know not the best place). I import the the WSUS information from an external WSUS server using the wsusutil cmd and i copy over the wsuscontent folder.

I can get the WSUS server to see all of my clients and tell me what updates are nessary, but i can not get the clients to pull the updates from the server. I have setup group policy to tell the clients where the wsus server (http://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX) is and when to check in along with a few other settings. They are still not pulling the updates. I can hit the WSUS admin page from the client. (so i am making the assumption that it is accessable). Because this is a closed lan there are no firewalls setup and no proxy server. Just the standard DNS and DHCP running on the DC.

Below i have 3 logs. In the windowsupdate.log I have highlited in Bold what I THINK (my best guess) the problem might be, that the clients are being told what updates they need by the WSUS but are trying to pull them from MS. This may or may not be the problem its just what i got out of hours of pouring through the logs.

Any ideas on how to get the Clients to pull/install the updates from the WSUS?

I'm not entirely sure what the problem is at the moment, but your problem as per the hex result is this:

ERROR_INTERNET_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

You might try setting a policy on a test OU to point to a netbios or FQDN name (NOT an IP name), and see if those machines exhibit the issue.
