Printing on 4x6 notecard

Is there a way to print on a 4x6 notecard using Word 2003 and an HP LaserJet 3600N?

I don't want to use 8.5x11 and cut it to the right size. I'd like it to be properly sized when it's finished.

I've set the custom paper size in Word which allows me to create the page. It looks OK in Word. I've tried setting the page to 4x6 and 6x4, both in portrait/landscape. I've tried putting the notecards in both ways in the manual tray of the HP LJ.

It never prints properly. The best I can get is the lettering to start towards the right of the card and finish off of the page. All other configurations end up with a blank page coming out and the LJ going into cleaning mode.

If you've done this, please let me know how you've set up Word and the LJ.
