hfrfc Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi It is quite hard to install catia silently... This will cover the installation of a network client under windows. So here we go ! We'll use default options for this install.1/ Copy all the Cds into the SAME directory, for example cd1+2 (answer 'yes' to all questions)2/ Go to cd1+2/Intel :startB.exe -u "g:\applis\catiar17" -newdir -v -noLang "it ko" -all -allextra_prd -noreboot This will install catia with all modules/data available into g:\applis\catiar17. Italian and korean interface will not be installed.3/ Install VBAcd1+2/VBA :msiexec /qb /i vba6.msi4/ Install LUM client (licence manager) with all featuresarkwin468.exe /s /v"/qb LUM_SILENT=1 /l c:\log.txt"5/ Configure LUMWe use a network licence type (1 server). Go to c:\Ifor\win\bini4cfg -a c -b "'network ip:name_of_the_server'"Reboot or i4cfg -startEnjoy
yaroz Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 (edited) Good start, but is there an easy way to then install and commit service packs?Just experimented a litle, and copied the service pack files into the install directory. It said that it was installing V5 R16 sp 7, but did not come up with any configurations. I guess I need to experiment more. Edited February 6, 2007 by yaroz
lars.schelde Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Good start, but is there an easy way to then install and commit service packs? In Catia V5 R17 you can install servicepacks silent by using startspkb.exe -killprocess
