A working driver for Realtek 8169 that works with RIS

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a working driver for Realtek 8169 that works with ris. I tested alot of drivers but they never works.

Thx alot.

It used to be in the past that no one single RealTek NIC driver would support all versions of the NIC - in other words one driver needed for 3+ year old NICs and another driver needed for current NICs, but for the last several months it seems that they've gotten it together over there. For me anyway, the latest RealTek NIC drivers will properly RIS boot for all generations of NIC.

Are making any modifications to the .inf file before using it for RIS?

No I didn't make any modifications in the .inf file. But I have seen that users with a broadcom nic changes the .inf.

If you can tell me what I have to changes in the .inf file I will be very happy :w00t:

Thx for the response

is this not similar to another topic you started? in which you mention why did i buy an asus laptop with realtek?

if so, i'll follow the other thread, and some people may not appreciate duplication - gets confusing and is a little unnecessary.

sorry to moan.
