excel template

I am needing to create a daily time sheet. Starting at 8am and ending at 4:30pm I would need to have a pull down menu to describe the task and I also need it to calculate how much time I spent that day on each task.

Is this possible? if so, please help. I am a newbie to excel templates/functions.
