jrichard326
I was able to delete all of the Windows tours files, except for tour.exe. It was protected by the Windows File protection service and each time it was deleted, XP just replaced it. Here is what I did to get rid of it. It is a registry hack...so be sure to back up if you are unsure of registry editing...Manual FIX "To disable WFP, start Regedit or Regedt32 and go to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogonAdd/modify the "SFCDisable" DWORD [REG_DWORD] Binary entry to read FFFFFF9D.Reboot when done.To (re)enable WFP modify "SFCDisable" to read 0. You must re-boot for the change to take effect. You then can delete tour.exe despite the warning that XP will give you. I then went and changed the reg key back to "0". Aaron
yeah since its only 3mb...:WTF?:a 320mb HDD should cost you 30 pence. lolmaybe if you didn't use the PC for a day, the reduced electricity cost would cover the price of that 3mb file...:rofl
XPerties
OR...You could put buckets under the down spouts on the side of your house and catch water when it rains. the take baths or use it for cooking. That should also lower your water bill, to help pay for the storage of a 3mb file:spaced :spaced -XPerties
