cluberti Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 To get XP's Netmeeting to work on Vista x86:- Copy the Netmeeting folder from the XP machine to C:\Program Files\NetMeeting- Copy msconf.dll to %windir%\system32- Run "regsvr32 %windir%\system32\msconf.dll"- Import netmeeting.regWindows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\\CLSID\{068B0800-718C-11d0-8B1A-00A0C91BC90E}]@="Microsoft NetMeeting Manager Object 3"[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID\{068B0800-718C-11d0-8B1A-00A0C91BC90E}\InProcServer32]@="\"C:\\Program Files\\NetMeeting\\nmcom.dll\"""ThreadingModel"="Apartment"- Run C:\Program Files\NetMeeting\conf.exeTo get XP's NetMeeting to work on Vista x64:- Copy the Netmeeting folder from the XP machine to C:\Program Files (x86)\NetMeeting- Copy msconf.dll to %windir%\syswow64- Run "regsvr32 %windir%\syswow64\msconf.dll"- Import netmeeting.regWindows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{068B0800-718C-11d0-8B1A-00A0C91BC90E}]@="Microsoft NetMeeting Manager Object 3"[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{068B0800-718C-11d0-8B1A-00A0C91BC90E}\InProcServer32]@="\"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\NetMeeting\\nmcom.dll\"""ThreadingModel"="Apartment"- Run C:\Program Files (x86)\NetMeeting\conf.exe
Faithy Posted February 2, 2007 Author Posted February 2, 2007 Thx clubertiI did what you said but it opens the little square with “windows Netmeeting” on it and it disappears and then nothing.
cluberti Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Hm - sounds like it's crashing or access violating. Perhaps run process monitor while launching, to make sure you aren't getting an access denied to anything.
Faithy Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 I opened my task manager and in processes tab I had 46 items when I open the Netmeeting it changes to 48 for one second and I see “conf.exe” in the list but it disappears and again I have 46 items
