ubernerd
I have seen that WinPE's bootmgr tries to load a boot.ini from the TFTP server when booting via PXE, and right after that it loads the BCD store. That leaves me wondering if the boot.ini could replace the BCD or something.Has anyone found any information on this file or is it just a beta leftover. FireGeier
BCD is designed for Vista Operating Systems and later. If you wanna boot from older OS BCD will still handle ntldr and needs a boot.ini file than - as far as I understand - but I'm not a BCD expert. You can find some more usefull information about BCD on the following Microsoft Tech Sites:http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platf...rmware/bcd.mspxhttp://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsVista...3.mspx?mfr=trueHope that will help!Martin
ubernerd
I have BCD working perfectly but I was merely wondering if and how boot.ini might fit in.
