i set up a rule to move emails from a certain email address into a folder... it does move a "copy" into the folder but also leaves one in my inbox?? why? does anyone know how to move that email upon receipt into a folder without leaving a copy in my inbox??

how about doing the same to outgoing emails that are addressed to a certain email address??

You probably have already tried this, but have you recreated the rule.

Delete it, restart Outlook (may be needed) and then recreate the rule.

Also, theres a difference between Moving it and Copying it. Make sure you have it set to move the email rather than copy it.
