kennwendy Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 When I start Word (MS Office 2003) it crashes. All the other programs Excel, PP, etc seem to work OK. Using XP SP2 and Office SP2. At crash I get the following message: Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. Weare sorry for the inconvenience. Please tell.........AppName winword.exe AppVer 11.0.8106.0 AppStamp 44f8a192ModName mso.dll Modver 11.0.8107.0 ModStamp 4500cb64fDebug 0 Offset 00039199When I used MSWorks 2000 Word previously, it did not crash but the fan/drive wouldkick in when the mouse/cursor was on the page - ie. when themouse/pointer was over the Menu Bar(File, Edit, etc) the unit wouldreturn to normal. I am at work now but if my memory is correct, Word2003 acts similar - I have been able to open a file but as soon as Imove the pointer onto the page and the cursor is flashing, the programcrashes. Need Help!!!thxKen
