siegbrunn Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 (edited) Quite a while back (at least last year, maybe longer) while using the Clipboard Viewer (clipbrd.exe) I seem to have done something that "broke" it. I believe I erased the current contents of the viewer through the Menu "delete" (or "clear clipboard" dunno, my XP is German). At that point the contents of the viewer window went grey and the viewer never worked again, although cut and paste actions were entirely unaffected. After a while in complete frustration I deleted clipbrd.exe since I couldn't use it anyway.Today because of another problem (to do with word-processor compatibility) it occurred to me that I could use the Clipboard viewer to help, discovered it wasn't there in System32 (forgetting the whole earlier problem) and I went to add/remove windows components in "Software" and installed it again. When a completely empty viewer was the result, I remembered the earlier problem. As I said, cut & paste has never been affected (so far as I have noticed). Anybody got an idea? I'd be grateful for any leads. O yes. I'm on XP 5.1 SP2and I'm logged in with administrative rights. Edited November 22, 2006 by siegbrunn
