How to Load Vista after Dual Boot?

My problem, in contrast to the others, is that I can only load windows XP after installing vista. I've gone to Vista once, and every time after that it only loads XP, how can I add Vista to the boot.ini?

I don't think there is anything you can do in boot.ini as Vista uses a whole new system. It should have put its system in place workingly, though. What Vista build are you using (please don't say RTM/6000)?

boot with your Vista DVD and run the startup repair option, this will fix the BCD so it will boot both vista and XP
