Mamacat104 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 HP Brio, WindowsXP Pro, 512MB ram trying to install Cisco VPN Client 4.7 so can connect to work place with Remotedesktop connection. Others have installed the VPN Client with no problems..Wetry to install to my computer and no luck... Getting Windows Installer Incorrect Command Line Parameters Windows Installer V 2.00.2600.0 Portions of the software are based in part on the work of Independent JPEG Group I click "Ok" it then tells me that the Cisco VPN Client failed to install correctly please reboot and try installing the VPN Client again.. I've tried 3 times with the same Windows Installer error message. I need to know how to fix it so I can install the VPN Client so I can domy work from home... Hope that someone can tell me what to do to correct this so the program can beinstalled.appreciate your help, Have a good eveningBarbara
cluberti Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 How are you installing the Cisco VPN client package, and is there any particular reason you are not using Windows Installer v3.1? It sounds like the error is giving you the reason it is failing, we just don't know what cli parameters it's passing to msiexec - perhaps you could get the actual .msi package if you've only got the installshield/wise/someother3rdpartypackage package and install it yourself with a simple "msiexec /i <.msipackagename>" command to see if that works?
