tablet pc pen driver in winpe

I'm trying to add tablet pen driver to WinPE 2004 for use with a tablet pc (motion computing le1600)

I'm using the following files: (found that the tablet uses the these files based on the device manager.)

hidDigi.inf

serial.sys

wacompen.sys

I'm suspecting that I probably need a tablet app installed...

Any suggestions?

you are right, you would need to load the tablet extensions for vista to run the pen in PE, i am not sure if it is possible as there is most likely a dozen dependencies for it

The weird thing is that an usb tablet seem to work fine...

Here's the info for getting the tablet pc pen driver working with winpe.

- Add drivers:

copy wacompen.sys and serial.sys to I386\system32\drivers

and HidDigi.inf to I386\system32\inf

- Copy wisptis.exe and hal.dll to I386\system32

- At startup run I386\system32\wisptis.exe

(this will have to be added to the startup shell)
